Zz.(Study) holidays

Supposed to be study holidays, I am sitting her doing absolutely nothing,idling away my time on Television,PC and mobile. Zz. Now I have got this unlimited sms offer. :D Aircel is insane,it offers unlimited sms offer(subject to 666 sms per day) for one month @ just Rs 49. :O :| Southpark engages me for few hours and thats it. I love cartman's ass :) :D I am broke as well,so cant go gaming daily [:(] Mbs exceeded(as per calculations,i have to pay and extra 100 rs) and so I can just stare at the garena icon. Am left with this gfn mofo bots :| Eyes pain a lot after playing 'aim maps' for like 3 hours.
I finally give my PC some rest,go down and watch some random stuff on LCD glory :D <BRAvia is seriously good :P> News channels are the top priority,since the IPL news are flooding each and every Indian news channel- IT officials going here,going there. KKR under scanner,all these Mauritius links,Modi moving court against BCCI,Involvement of Praful patel *He is goodlooking,and so is his daughter :P*,his daughter diverting the AI for ipl duty,that too for this mofo Dhoni and his team =)) Just the kind of controversy these media people wanted to boost up their viewer ratings :P Oo,in between if I come across the new 'Kites' promos/songs, my eyes will be glued onto the TV just because Barbara Mori is SEXY,and the hottest chick in B town. :O uh she is Mexican??
Uh,the time wil be somewhere around 3 and I realize I havent had lunch yet, also I come to know from Mom that I havent given ear to her shoutings for the past 1 hour :O I am just used to saying "Kurachu kazhinju varam" that now a days I dont care as to what she is shouting. :| Its my nap time after lunch,and my short nap might last for 3 hours or so. Again I switch on my PC. Counterstrike or some newly downloaded movies engage me till my dinner time. I glance at those heavy Metallurgy and Material Science and Manufacturing Processes textbooks at the corner of my table and turn my head away and focus my attention on the food kept in front of me. Umm I can use them as dumbbells :O How the fuck am I going to by heart. And guess what,the books are full of mistakes ( I still wonder if the Khannas or chaudharys have some blood relation with Gopu Krishna) I sit there pondering as to whether I should start studying today-Ah! no need,why start stressing yourself from today. Moreover there are 25days left. By the time I finish my dinner,I will have my mind focussed-"Okay buddy! We can start studying from Tomorrow" // I consider myself as 2 personalities. * The studious,well behaved,family man Deepal and the second and the more prominent one, The lazy,adventure loving,CS freak,film buff and the Deepal with all those bad traits like drinking,smoking...
Again I am in front of PC,watching some random movies or some memorable scenes,or as usual gaming hard against Pro-bots :P,waiting for the clock to tick 2. Ow :) My download time begins. PC starts showing its sign of weariness,new folders fail to open quickly. No wonder my taskbar is flooded. Garena,torrent,downloads and mozilla working with more than 10 tabs. Downloading some pro CS videos,and playing for some time,searching some torrent links and I dont realize that the time is running away. Soon I hear the chirping of some birds far away :O The time is around 5 30 :O I will keep the torrent running with scheduler ON and rush to sleep.
"Dey ezhuneku, ine ezhunetilengil vellam kondu vannu ozhikum." I hear my moms sound in the background of some beautiful dream,either some erotic dreams or the ones where I frag away to glory :P =)). I unwillingly get up and check out the time- 11:30 am. :O I rush to the bathroom for my morning ablutions. "Gotta watch the movies/CS videos downloaded yesterday night. Should check the newspaper if there is some good movies on television. There might be some new revelations about the IPL controversy. Why should I start studying today? Afterall,there are 24 days left na??"

Curtains falling on IPL 3. And for Lalit modi too??

Indian Premier league abbreviated as IPL has been one of the major discussions in the town,not only for the excitement and glamour quotient but also for its off-field controversies. It all started from Mr Lalit Modi's tweet on Kochi ownership. Fuck this microblogging twitter. I hate twitter :P and the strangest part is yet to come. I not only joined twitter but I am 61 tweets old now =) IPL is now being hailed not only as Indian paisa league,but also Indian political league. :| :x
Sashi tharoors relationship with Sunanda Pushkar and his involvement in the bidding process, being raised in Parliament,and the Opposition just needed to strengthen its case,already having the price-rise issue. Tharoor being forced to relinguish his powers,is a great loss to Indian politics. Now the storm is on Lalit Modi,and he is being asked to step down as IPL chairman. Most of the BCCI honchos gave the IPL award night a miss. There are unconfirmed reports that many a match were fixed in the second season of IPL held at South Africa.
Coming back to cricket,Mumbai Indians seem to be the clear cut favourite against Chennai but the split web is a serious concern,and if HE(no prices for guessing though, the leading run getter in the league stage,and an inspirational captain) doesnt play,then Chennai might have an upper hand and with the likes of Dhoni,Raina,Hayden I bet this wont be a no-encounter like the yesterdays 3rd place play-off between Bangalore and Deccan. I would not be surprised if Gilchrist announce his retirement from IPL because it was sad to see "the once,most destructive batsman" to fail so miserably. Hoping for a good contest and obviously,as Harbhajan said,a sweet birthday present to SACHIN TENDULKAR. Go Mumbai Indians!!

The best person in my life.

I have come across many good and better people in my life,including the closest of my friends,cousins and family,rare teachers,ladies [:D] etc. But the person who has influenced my life the most is none other than my mom,because of whom i am here right now writing this post. Whatever i have achieved (lol,nothing so impressive yet. still :P) in my life is just because of my mom and dad. The reason why i am posting this is strange though.

My moms birthday happened to be few months before. One of the girls closest to me asked me to get some present for her. She even came with a proposal that she will put bugs for buying a cake from ambrosia. uh? Generous lady :P But i found it so strange. Till last year I havent wished her,let alone think of getting her presents or cake :| But that doesnt mean I love her less. I am a person who believes mother-son relationship is the best in this world.

I am not used to expressing love,maybe thats why I dont care much in getting her some gift for her birthday,kissing her daily after i leave to college,and related melodramic deeds. I still dont know whether I should be doing all these from now. This post serves the sole purpose of letting all know that I love my mom a lot,even though I dont express it,or rather I have a notion that it is too childish for me to do so.

Welcome 2010 :)

Yea. I am a bit late :) The lateness is quite evident since i had heck lot of films to watch over the last few days,and am only half way through.

2009 was indeed an year of ups and downs for me personally. :) I became more familiar with my college and friends there. We went too iit-m for saarang09,which was an unforgettable experience. The most remarkable thing-there was a new addition to my daily agenda other than the usual sleeping,eating.. -COUNTERSTRIKE :D , and the formation of our clan eXclu$!v3 which has been renamed to FaTal (after a forgettable faring at Dhwani 09). We made up for that during aavishkar where we did pretty okay,but still not upto the potential.
The usual saying follows-"There is room for improvement". Or in Mr Dhoni's words,' Its part and parcel of the game' :D :P =)) Rofl.

We wrote our first Btech univ exams :| The sad part was that one of my best friends and my clan mate Prathik aka pjc was leaving for Delhi to do BSc Physics. Seeing how things unfolded,that was the better option for him. That created a heck of a void in our classroom. Seriously. We all miss you! (If you happen to read this). Almost everything went well till one day,the most terrible incident happened to me. Yes! It is indeed the most heartbreakening thing that might happen to any teenager's life-Breakup :( I dont intend to elaborate more,but those were the worst days in my life.

I happened to see some of the great movies,old ones as well as new ones.Usual suspects, Bhramaram,Shawshank redemption,Palerimanikyam to name a few. In cricket,India under MS Dhoni,won almost every bilateral series but still has a lot to improve when it comes to big tournaments. Coming to tennis,although the year started and ended in dismay as Federer lost in tough 5 setters to Nadal(at Australian open) and Delpotro(at USO),he won the double of French open(for the First time) and then Wimbledon,surpassing Pete Sampras for the record 15th title. He never played to even half his potential against both Nadal and delpotro in the final set,losing 2-6 in both occasions. Otherwise,Federer could have easily achieved the calendar slam. No worries since he captured his first ever French open title :)

In short,2009 was indeed a great year. Luking forward to an even better 2010.

I am hell bored sitting at home and idling away. Christmas holidays werent as great as expected. Various ideas of outings were planned and called off because of one reason or other. As expected,tv channels aired a number of films,most of them being recent releases,inorder to attract viewers as this is christmas season. Most of 'em having bombed at the BO. Parunthu,Red chillies,lollipop to name a few. But Kairali tv,for a change,came up with a better movie. Indeed the best one among all mallu channels. I was awe-struck on seeing the movie Ritu.
Directed by Shyamaprasad of 'Agnisakshi' , 'Akale' and 'Ore kadal' fame,there is a minimum guarantee that this will not be one of those slapstick 'entertainers' with no content. Its such a memorable movie that at the end,it leaves you in complete nostalgia. Casting youngsters is a tough job,especially in mallu industry. Hats off to Shyamaprasad for having the courage to do so,in this movie which tackles the complex issues of the present world and come out with flying colours. This film may not be a commercial success but I recommend this movie to all. I assure you that you wont be disappointed after watching it.

With the today's world as the backdrop,Ritu discusses issues related to contemporary life and society,and also diverse themes such as the certainity of transition,the fantasies of the present youth and above all the incessant flow of life. This is all about 3 childhood friends who had various dreams which never realized,as they were dragged to IT world. How this new world affects their lives forms the rest of the story.

The tagline for the film is apt.
"Seasons change. Do we?"

Holidays started(virtually) :D

If you are pursuing mechanical course in any college,you might get an idea of what i am saying !!
Classes were to be suspended for the christmas holidays from 18th,but it was not supposed to be so. A massbunk was initiated and carried out quite successfully. Thereby for the Mechancial branch,holidays startd from 16th [:P] The main reason is that the hostelites want to reach home early so that they can spent more time with their family and friends out there. The reality is that there are hostelites in other branches too. Mechanical has the guts to do that. I can say for sure that Mechanical branch is the identity of any btech college. Period!

PS : This is going down as a post not because its for the first time [:D] I had intended to post this on the night of 16th itself,but drowsiness had taken its toll on me. The last 2 days had a busy schedule in store for me,and thats the reason for the lateness. The reason for the post is quite simple-

"I am not so proud of the college that i got into,but i am indeed proud of the course that I am pursuing"

An ordinary day turning into a traumatic one

Today was just another of those boring mondays when you hate to get up so EARLY in the morning and go to college. The main reason why i didnt bunk today was due to some Machine drawing classes which consume 3 continuous hours. The afternoon was boring as usual but some quality time was spent on playing cards which Ganesh brought :)
Everything was as fine as it could ever be,till evening at around 7 45pm when i heard the shocking news that one of our batchmates of Electronics branch committed suicide for some reason yet to be known[atleast to me] !! The idea of getting some free hours didnt excite me at all since i couldnt yet(till the point i am typing) grasp or accept the darn reality ..

How fast things can change! See I am not much of an emotional waala. I mean,these days we are used to such news as it daily appears on newspaper ,we dont care to read through them,let alone sympathize with those families. Neither do I know nor have i seen this lady. That doesnt stop me from shedding a tear or two. This is an ever-aggravating issue in this society which should be dealt with soon. I dont know how to explain clearly my state of mind as of now,maybe a mix of anguish,anger,pain bla bla!! There maybe many reasons,but try to face the reality rather than run away like a coward! No one can always be happy,no one can always be victorious,everyone has their ups and downs in life,there maybe some point in life where you feel like you should not have been born But ending the life on dope or rope is SILLY. Life is given to you,not for you to end it as you wish. You have to live each and every moment and thats the exact meaning of the life given to you. You should be bold enough to face any situation even if there are adverse ones. If i am personally askd to point out the reasons for suicide,the first ones which come to my mind are :
* Society and adverse circumstances
* The background from which one is brought up
* Sad attitude

Suicide rate in Kerala is around 26.5 per 100000 population while taking India as a whole,the figure is approx 11.5 per 100000 population(as in 2008). I dont have to elaborate more,as these figures explains all. Some measures have to be taken,and sooner the better.
I am deeply saddened by this news. I wish that I hear less of such incidents in the future.. Let her soul rest in peace!!

4th Semester begins :|

So .. Here starts the 4th after a brief sem-break of 6 days..(Can it be even called a sem break :D)
We never change [:P] ... Bunked the first day Where we went after that,you all can guess :D

Oct 3
I reach college by sharp 9 10am We were supposed to have IC Engines lab,but since the lab exams were going on for seniors we were to give just the attendance and go to some library to refer texts on the same[:P]
Around 10 15 am i reached my cousins house [:D] ..We,cousins had planned a get together after a LONG time..

Oct 4
Due to some reasons,i couldnt go to the college.. I got up at around 10 30 am to see a message unread..
Anand : "Da no classes here.. we coming to your house".. We spent some pretty productive hours playing cards :D
Now i managed to steal one hour from my CS schedule for blogging :)

Some private college in trivandrum have their classes starting only on Dec 28th.. [Weep]
This indirectly implies our exams will not start before may !! It has been rumoured that there is no sembreak for s3 because the goddamn fucking university plans to give a 2 month sembreak after s4 exams which now in all probability is not gonna happen

Now its Sehwags way to blaze into the record books with his brilliant 293(off just 254 deliveries) with 40 boundaries and 7 huge maximums.. [:O] Now thats some breathtaking statistics !! and it was more breath-taking for the spectators as well as for the srilankan team which were at the receiving end ... Its another case of "So close yet so far "... Missed out on a record 3rd Triple by just 7 runs ..

Life has been dull for the last few days.. We are having our so called 'Sem break' !! (6 days :P)
Fuck KU-Kerala University :( This not just a 4 letter abusive word..It means much more and carries a lot of emotions along with it.. Sad to see that the officials there are silly sounvabitchs :| This is the mildest of the compliments i can give :D
S3 went by,in the blink of an eye.. Seems like it was yesterday,we bunked the first class of our 3rd semester.. Unusually i attended more number of classes than expected [:D] University exams got over last wednesday,two lab exams remains :| I am more or less being nocturnal now a days .. Playing latenight till 8 am[Harnessing the unlimited period of net usage :D],and getting up at around 12 or 1 in the afternoon :P

In the meanwhile,I saw a new hindi flick Kurbaan,a movie on Islam terrorism and love !! Guys dont miss it.. Kareena's best performance till date!! Saif awesome as ever .. Brilliance of Om puri and Kirron Kher(after Devdas) fully exploited by Rensil d'silva in his directorial debut..Vivek oberoi as moderator does justice to his role ..

With his 3-6 6-3 6-1 win over Brit Andy Murray yesterday night,he ensured the year end world no:1 ranking :) It was yet again a clinical performance from the master after an ordinary start which saw UE's raining from the forehand side..Consequently he was broken twice in the first set.. However Federer started to play more aggressively and attacked the second serve of Murray on a consistent basis.. Murrays level dropped,and with Federer on the other side of the net its quite obvious :D After winning the second set,Brit served first to make it 1-0 in his favour..Then Federer raced away with six consecutive games to wrap the set and match :)

Roger Federer has been crowned ATP World Tour Champion for the fifth time, after becoming just the second player in the history of the South African Airways ATP Rankings to regain the year-end No. 1 ranking.Federer had been crowned with the same from 2004-2007..However 2008 was Nadal's year(with FO,Wimbledon and Olympics) and deservingly Nadal ended the year as No:1 ... Federer bounced back strongly in 2009 (though losing in the AO finals to Nadal in 5 and also in USO to Delpotro again in 5) capturing his first French Open final defeating soderling in straight sets and went on to regain "His" Wimbledon title in an epic match against Roddick[:D] He also won 2 masters title.. one in Madrid(clay) where he defeated Nadal 4 and 4.. and in Cincinnati.. The CS story - part 1 : Formation of eXclu$!v3

The reason why my blog was stagnant for few months : Counter Strike :|
It all started last February-Barton Hill's Cultural-Tech fest "Aagneya 09"..
We were never seriously into cs then.. :D
Vivek Anand and I decided to participate but then we didnt have a team of 5..
Somehow Aagneya didnt work out..
Still we were determined and practised day and night to improve our skills..
Countless hours we spent strategizing :D

Till that day,we never knew Prathik was good at CS..

Sorry for the lateness [:P]
I completely forgot about the fact that i was having a blog till i came to see 'someones' blog few hours ago ... :D
The point in me posting this is absolutely pointless..[:P]
Jokes apart,its been like years since i have blogged.. But the fact is that i was never a frequent blogger LOL!!
Btw,my life has changed a lot in the last one month or so ..Trying to cope up with the present situation.. As the saying goes.'CHANGE is inevitable' ... I aint interested in any more such irrevocability :| Seriously!!
Our 3rd Semester University exams are going on :|
One week before I was privileged to watch one of the best knocks in the modern era.. Sachin was at his bludgeoning best on that particular night.. 175 off 141 balls.. Man!! Such an innings ought to be in the winning side but for the 'famed' top order failing miserably.. Chasing 350 odd runs,you dont expect sehwag,gambhir,yuvraj and dhoni to fall cheaply.. But boy!!that was one helluva innings.. Adjectives fail to describe this genius gentleman [:D]

Fashion
A masterpiece yet again from Madhur Bhandarkar ... ‘Fashion’ chronicles a tale that brings to light the hitherto unseen shades of the fashion world. The film is about the rise and fall of a supermodel, and her subsequent resurrection..The whole film revolves around the fact that one can achieve fame only by sheer hardwork and determination and also that one will have to pay a hell lot if he is overconfident or arrogant !!!! Along with the fame does come the share of sorrow which is inevitable... Priyanka chopra (after a long time) comes up with almost impecabble acting which deserves various accolades and so does Kangana ranaut ..

Dostana
Slapstick comedy ... The film lack a good storyline or script ... John and shilpashettys body show being the lone highlights!!! Yet another forgettable film for Priyanka chopra who seems to be having a nightmare choosing scrips... Seems like Karan Johar decided to produce just on hearing the concept of gay lol !!! Final verdict : Never see this... stupid gay film .. [:|]

Vaaranam Ayiram
This is a film which shows the strong bond of love and moreover friendship between a father and son !!! Inspired by his own relation with his dad,Gautam Vasudev Menon comes up with yet another superb film ... Now one note of caution .. never watch this film expecting a kakka kakka .. Running 3 hours 10 minutes,it is the journey of life and the various situations a man has to face in his life,it emphasises a lot on relationships and love..and also how one can be inspired by his dad .. The only negative being tht the female characters arent given much importance though simran and sameera reddy comes up with good performances...Surya asserts his position atop tamil industry with a superlative performance.. much more than perarazhakan and pithamagan .. His best till date ... Few acting sequences are breathtaking and instills awe in our minds -- After kamalhaasan,tamil industry has found a real talent in him who can really "act" ... I wont be surprised if he bags the national award for best actor bcoz he deserves !!! Ppl out here.. dont miss this film if you love your dad !! dont miss this film if you values relationship!! dont miss this film if you are in love!! dont miss this film if you are a surya fan!! and finally.. Dont miss this film if you love to watch GOOD tamil films .. ( and not stupid rajni films like basha,chandramukhi,shivaji etc etc .. God knows what this loathsome worm is coming up with next)

Twenty Twenty
Landmark film as far as kerala malayalam film industry is concerned.. Almost all mainstream actors have joined together for this film and dileep has taken a huge risk in producing the film..Kudos to director Joshiy and script writers siby-udayakrishnan team,it paid off very well ... A total entertainer which satisfies both mohanlal and mammootys fan base ... Both of them are perfect for their roles .. Mohanlal as devarajaprathapa varma has given a superlative performance yet again ... Special mention for sureshgopi as well .. Though the film was not up to the mark as far as comedy is concerned,Dileep and salimkumar lent some laughable moments ...Nayanthara and bhavana have given some glamour input as well...Overall its a must see film and i assure you wont be a bored a single minute !!!

Moving ahead ..

College is getting better day by day .. Bunking classes.. and those hours we spent in the class are utilised for useful purposes like -- Writing assignments(which will fetch us marks for Univ exams),Concentrating fully on mobiles(which has become an integral part of life),Calling proxy for others(we will get the same in return some other day :D),Discussing about the recent films and cute chicks lol!!! If we have nothing else to do,then only will we resort to sleeping... the scenario is diff from what we used to do in 12th where we used to spend most of the time sleeping ... Things have changed very much ..
Cutting classes have taken top priority .. The least being listening to the boring lectures and sleeping[:P]...BLE (electronics) classes have become a nightmare .. i rarely enter the class .. and even if i enter .. i will not understand a single word she says --- Transistors,AC amplifier,oscillator wtf god knows !!!!!
Many questions are lingering in my mind for quite some time ...
*The first and the main question... Will i pass ELECTRONICS paper? [:(] Lol.. chances are slim
*Whats the fcking use of studying civil ??
*Why girls dont take mechanical engineering? [:D]

Dhaam Dhoom
Though of starting with the worst.. lol.. One word verdict : Pathetic ... First of all.. i feel sorry for the late director Jeeva.. The film suckd wid too many songs just for Jayam Ravi's crap dance.. thou some of the scores were nice,his dancing destroyd the music ... Stunt scenes suckd.. Overall it was nothng more than bullshit crap !!!!

Subramaniapuram
Mindblowing direction and acting by Sasikumar.. Jai as Azhagar and Swati as Tulasi gives commendable performance and their silent love is portrayed brilliantly in the film...The film is set in a retro style in the 80's..The story is about friendship, love and betrayal of both and vengeance. It deals with the exploitation of unemployed youth by politicians... Also the songs composed by James Vasanthan is catchy and Kangal irandal has already created waves among many !!! The mega hit by Sasikumar proves yet again that even film with secondstring actors can turn out to be blockbusters if it has a strong script and handled well... Kudos to Sasikumar and team to come up with a mindblowing film

Thirakadha
No words !! Mindblowing direction by Ranjith.. Priyamani as Malavika has excelled in her role.. Prithviraj and Samvrutha as Akbar Ahmed and Devayani has come up with commendable performances .. Not to mention Anoop menon as Ajayachandran and Malavika's lover... Even the cameo done by Ranjith is gud.. Thirakkatha is a tribute to the yesteryear actresses, who had been graceful, popular figures in cinema during their younger age with patronage and later got completely disregarded by the industry, media and the masses ... The film is based on the life of various actresses especially the relationship between Srividya and Kamal Haasan.. Akbar is successful with his first film and decides to chose a diff theme for his next film and starts working on the life of Malavika who was once a very popular actress but her present state is unknown... Noone knows where she is or even whether she is alive.. Akbar and his friend's attempt to track down her life forms the rest of the story.. The film ends in a marvellous touching climax with a poetic narration..

Kurukshetra
Yet another masterpiece from Major Ravi and Mohanlal.. Mohanlal as Colonel Mahadevan has come up with yet another superlative performance.. The sequel to Kirtichakra.. its based on the Indo-Pak Kargil war... The main highlights of the film being the superb dialogue delivery by Mohanlal..nice picturisation of Kargil and superbb songs..(yet anothr one by Kailash Kher) ... Siddique and Biju Menon has come up with commendable performances.. thou' much more was expectd from ManiKuttan... Superbb climax by Mohanlal... Kudos to Major Ravi and crew ... This film is not for Mohanlal fans.. This film is for all Indians.. for those who want to know what really happnd at Kargil!!! Bharat Mata Ki Jay !!...

College Days Ahead..

Stepping into new shoes... Kinda difficult at first !! New environment.. new friends.. new custom...First days were as usual with police everywhere..CET lived to their reputation of fights even this year!!! Now moving to the classroom-S1S2M2-Imagine a class of 54 students out of which only 7 from trivandrum.. uh[:O]... There's very little conversation with othrs ... You will have to think twice before even calling this a classroom.. Just 6 othrs to converse with.. and considering we wil have to sit through 6 hours of boring lectures...No wonder students resort to bunking classes from the very beginning.. and that includes myself.. Coming to the syllabi.. Almost 5 months left nd we gotta study 10 subjects.. including workshop nd graphix.. Why the fuck should these mechanical engineers learn how the bullshit levelling is done ?? I presumd only till 12th we wil hve to learn stupid subjects like History Geography and Envt Education... the last one being a nightmare.. And now here comes yet anothr f'ckng subject !!! The saving grace of clg life as far as i am concrnd now is that we can bunk classes on our own wish ... School life was much better [:(] .. I repeat.. I miss my school a hell lot!!!
